For owner Sara True, photography has always been about building memories with beloved family and capturing those special moments on film. Sara first picked up a camera when she was in high school. She and her mom would jump in the car, take a leisurely drive and stop to take photos of barns and the lush Kentucky landscape. “Photography became a great way to bond with my mom,” explains Sara.

Sara has always been drawn to artistic outlets – but says she was never very good at drawing. Taking photos became her way to document and preserve special life moments as they were happening. “I work to be very aware and in the moment of life as it happens,” says Sara. In doing so, she captures the most important of life’s emotions in her work.

When asked what her favorite part of photography is, Sara says that it’s all about the people and the relationships she’s built. “I feel like I’m able to make people’s visions come true – and capture moments that will never occur again,” she explains.

Outside of her work, Sara loves spending time with her son Mason and enjoys just about anything that gets her outdoors – including traveling, surfing, rock climbing and hiking.
